In-depth maintenance of electrical system and protection plan for mechanical structure
During the long-term parking of mountain ebike motor, the maintenance of electrical system and the protection of mechanical structure are crucial. Battery management, as the core link of motor maintenance, deserves special attention. For removable lithium battery packs, it is recommended to implement a "half-power storage" strategy. This strategy requires that the state of charge (SOC) value of the battery be adjusted to between 50%-60% and stored in a constant temperature environment of 15℃ to 25℃. In addition, the original charger should be used for pulse charging every month, and the charging current should be controlled below 0.1C. If the battery has a built-in battery management system (BMS), it is necessary to ensure that its self-discharge compensation function is normal, and the typical parameter is automatic compensation of 3%-5% capacity loss per week. For non-removable batteries, it is recommended to perform a short-term charge every 10 days, and the charging time should not exceed 2 hours to prevent the battery pack from decomposing the electrolyte due to excessive discharge.
The protection of the controller also needs to focus on humidity management. It is recommended to disassemble the controller housing and use an electronic drying oven for 24 hours at 40℃ and humidity ≤30%RH to remove moisture adsorbed on the surface of the circuit board. For controllers that use potting technology, it is necessary to check whether the sealing layer of epoxy resin has cracks. If necessary, an X-ray detector can be used to scan the internal solder joint status. At the same time, the connecting harness should be coated with an antioxidant (such as WD-40 Specialist), especially the metal contacts of the plug, to prevent the increase of contact resistance caused by patina corrosion.
Anti-rust treatment of mechanical structure
The bearings of mountain ebike motor are the parts that must be protected during long-term parking. It is recommended to use a special bearing anti-rust kit, including anti-rust oil, seals and grease guns. The specific operation process is as follows: First, disassemble the motor end cover and clean the inner and outer rings and raceways of the bearings; then inject lithium-based composite calcium-based grease (NLGI grade 2) and install fluororubber seals (Shore hardness 60±5); finally, spray the nano-hydrophobic coating to ensure that the contact angle exceeds 150°. For mid-mounted motors, it is necessary to check the matching clearance between the motor shaft and the five-way bearing, and use a feeler gauge to measure the radial clearance. When the clearance exceeds 0.05mm, the bearing should be replaced in time.
The maintenance of the transmission system also needs to be combined with the parking cycle to formulate a corresponding plan. The chain should be "turned over and lubricated" once a month. Use a chain turner to rotate the chain 180° and apply PTFE-based grease (operating temperature range is -40℃ to 150℃) to ensure that the inside and outside of each link are evenly covered. For belt-driven motor systems, the belt tension attenuation should be checked regularly. The belt tension meter should be used to detect the tension value. When the attenuation exceeds 15%, it should be re-tightened in time. At the same time, the maintenance of the flywheel should not be ignored. Attention should be paid to the rust of the tooth plate. The corrosion depth at the root of the tooth plate should be detected using an endoscope. If the corrosion depth exceeds 0.2mm, the entire piece needs to be replaced.
Environmental control and protective measures
The control of the storage environment must meet the "three protection" requirements: moisture-proof, dust-proof and temperature difference-proof. It is recommended to use a constant temperature and humidity warehouse, set the temperature at 20℃±2℃, the humidity between 40%RH±5%, and be equipped with an industrial dehumidifier (dehumidification capacity ≥50L/day) and a temperature and humidity recorder. For home storage scenarios, a combination of sealed boxes and desiccants can be used. Use a PE sealed box with a thickness of ≥3mm, a built-in color-changing silica gel desiccant (moisture absorption rate ≥30%), and use a temperature and humidity sensor for real-time monitoring. When storing vehicles, it is recommended to use a dedicated support frame to prevent tires from deforming due to single-point pressure. In addition, the vehicle should be moved every 30 days to ensure the rotation of the tire stress points.
